Let me start by saying....Congratulations on starting one of your most exciting and rewarding life time adventures, whether this is your first baby, twins, mulitples or another time around! I am honored to provide my postpartum services to you. I have loved babies all of my life. I loved my dolls and started babysitting at a very early age. Currently, I am finishing up my 2-year certification process and membership requirements with CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association) as a Certified Postpartum Doula. I am also a member of the Colorado Doulas Association. I graduated from CSU in Technical Journalism, raised my two boys and cared for newborn babies in my home for several years. I have enjoyed being around babies all of my life. I babysat during junior high, high school and college, taught Red Cross swimming lessons with classes for moms and their babies. I spent summers with my Aunt and Uncle to care for 3 baby cousins, I was an employee for over 13 years and Supervisor of the Newborn Nursery for new mothers and newborns. Many people have told me that I have a very special gift when it comes to understanding babies. I want to provide new parents with the same ability to discover, nurture, understand, and help their babies learn to sleep through the night. I specialize in working with families with twins as well as working with you during the day or night. I also provide New Parent Consultations. It's a precious time that goes by so quickly, and my goal is to provide parents with the tips and techniques on calming, feeding, bathing, baby schedules, getting enough sleep, all in getting to know, caring for and nurturing their newborn babies.
