A Baby Nurse
A baby nurse is a childcare professional who lives in the home for a few weeks following childbirth. The Baby Nurse helps with infant care and can educate parents on infant care skills such as feeding and bathing; she will do night feedings and/or help support the mother in breastfeeding; perform light housekeeping tasks. Many Baby Nurses also offer meal preparation and help with laundry. A Baby Nurse will typically have extensive training in newborn care, nutrition, bottle and breastfeeding and child development. (May be a Licensed Vocational Nurse). |
